About the Program
UNC Greensboro’s Global Engagement Office (GEO) is pleased to host the Global Leaders Academic Exploration Program (GLAEP). This is a day and residential program for high school students ages 14 -18. GLAEP is a transformative summer camp focused on leadership, global awareness, and personal growth. Students engage in interactive workshops and innovative projects led by expert faculty, while collaborating with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds, discovering their leadership potential, and preparing to make a meaningful global impact.

Program Dates
International students: Monday, July 6, 2026 – Sunday, July 19, 2026
Residential students (domestic): Monday, July 13, 2026 – Saturday, July 18, 2026
Day students: Monday, July 13, 2026 – Saturday, July 18, 2026
*International students will join Week 1 as they adjust to the US, learn about American culture, and practice English language skills. Week 2 will host both international and domestic students as they gain a deeper understanding of the world through each other.
Pricing (Domestic Students)
- Residential students: $675 (includes dorm room, three meals a day, field trips, and materials for program activities)
- Day students: $500 (includes daily lunch, field trips, and materials for activities during the program)
- Participants are required to submit a $100 deposit. The remaining balance must be paid by June 1, 2026.
- Once the participant’s registration has been confirmed by GLAEP staff, payment details will be shared. Camp fees may be paid by mailing a check or money order. Checks should be made payable to UNC Greensboro.
International Students
- Once the student’s registration is confirmed by GLAEP staff, information on UNCG’s wire transfer process will be given.
- UNCG’s Global Engagement Office will issue an invitation letter for the student to apply for a B1/B2 visa.
- International students are responsible for providing their airfare.
